I'm sorry, sweetheart-- that sucks. And I agree with Vortex, it's pretty short-sighted. Especially because someone with less experience can often bring new perspectives to the table and question inefficiencies *because* they are less steeped in How Things Are Done.
But yeah, no drinking. No drinking is a good thing.
If it makes you feel better, the "they loved me but they didn't hire me" thing seemed to be a stage that I went through last time which followed "no responses at all" and preceded "they loved me AND they hired me". Keep faith...I am hoping for you that this is the universe's way of telling you that you're getting very close to the right thing.
