no side sleeping

I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience to mine. I am 19 weeks along with #4, and anytime I roll onto my side to sleep, the baby pushes against my sides actively as if i am squishing them and need to roll over. It does not matter how I support myself with pillow, etc. So I can only sleep on my back, which feels great and ( Read more... )

Mine pokes and kicks my side every night when I go to bed. It's really uncomfortable, and my husband is getting tired of me jumping and flinching every few minutes! I haven't found a solution, sorry. I slept on my back until maybe 28 weeks pretty comfortably, and now when the baby kicks, I just get up and do something else for awhile before going back to bed.

Yes, this happens to me a lot now, at 31 weeks. The best thing I can do is to put a pillow under my belly to take some of the pressure off. Otherwise, I have to lay on my back and I put a pillow under one side of my back to keep one side elevated.

This is what I do. I have a body pillow on each side of me and tuck one behind my back so I'm elevated on one side. The other one I will tuck under my belly in the front to avoid the pulling/stretching sensation I get otherwise.

Yeah, I'm at 36W2 and same here for the last few months . My mom is an antepartum nurse and has assured me that it is totally fine to sleep on my back, but it seems that lately this kid just doesn't want me to sleep at all. Last night it was kicking up a storm into my ribs. Thankfully the end is nigh!

I get my boys butt into my ribs if I lie or recline on my back, I just get this mound higher than my belly button.

From early on when I would sleep on my side my son would wriggle around, almost annoyed that I was on my side. I could not sleep on my back so I ignored him, I found sleeping with my legs hooked on my husband or a big tube pillow really helped me and him get more comfy. Now however he doesnt have much room and sleeping on my side is pretty much all I can do.

I was told not to lay on my back when I sleep - but when I try to fall asleep on my side it is impossible!! I always wake up on my back haha & it feels very comfy.
