I just used cocoa butter. Seemed to work for me - I used it on my tummy only and got no stretch marks there (I do however have small stretch marks on my breast and thighs, where I didn't use the cream). SO for me, I was doing it again I'd use cocoa butter and would put it all over anywhere that might stretch a little during pregnancy (everywhere?!).
If your gonna get stretch marks, you will. No amount of special cream will help with that. I used shea butter from Bath and Body Works pretty religiously and only got one tiny stretch mark where I had my belly button ring. Doesn't mean the cream worked or didn't work, just that my skin is naturally a little pliant. It didnt hurt any to stay moisturized though! ;)
I got heaps when I was in puberty so thought I would get heaps in pregnancy. I got none in pregnancy. I used a belly massage bar from Lush for a while and then used plain coconut oil. That said, I measured really small belly-wise which might have has something to do with it.
It was! I asked what they had and they gave me that bar. I don't remember what it was called but it had a little knob on it like a belly button. It was quite a subtle smell which was nice for my morning sickness nose.
