Congrats on your birth! He looks like a little cutie!! I'm glad you got your natural birth like you wanted, I feel like it is so important to be a natural as possible. My birth was natural like yours but my son was born with an Apgar of 1, needless to say he was in the NICU for a week and I had to pump like hell. Luckily about 6 weeks in, he was feeding like a champ and he is now a healthy 13 months old. So you just keep on trucking mama, you'll get that milk. Congrats again!
Congrats, David is beautiful! I can't imagine what it must have been like for you to have your baby in the NICU like that. So glad he's home!
If you need help or information about breastfeeding and upping your supply, I would strongly recommend 1) talking to a lactation consultant, and 2) joining the breastfeeding forum. Off the bat, in order to boost your supply I would recommend taking fenugreek tablets, eating oatmeal at least once a day, and making lactation cookies (when else can you get away with eating prescription cookies? LOL). Kellymom is also a great resource for other herbal remedies and safe medication listings. Good luck, mama! :D
ah poor little guy; but so glad he's fine now and gaining weight. 50 stitches; I had to read over that number twice in case it wasn't just 15 *shyudders* .. anyway, congratulations! Take care! :)
Congrats! I have rarely heard of a mama who had the strength to pick 'go home' when those options are offered so serious props to you for that! I'm glad he's doing well and I hope that the heartache you must have felt having to watch him at the NICU will heal very quickly. He's adorable!
He is absolutely adorable! I can't imagine getting 50 stitches down there... ow!! My son also spent time in the NICU so I know how hard that is. Your little man will be running around your house in no time, I'm sure. Congrats! :)
