It improved greatly from 4-6 months. My wrists still twinge sometimes at 10 months. My lower belly is still quite numb, though.

Thanks for the timeline, I'll just hang in there then. :)

I had some CT before my first, and it got very bad toward the end of my 1st and 2nd pregnancies. I actually got the over the counter braces at Wal-Mart or Target and wore them all the time - even sleeping - when it got bad. That helped me a lot more than ice.

Me too!! It helps a lot having more support. It's the ONLY thing that helped. Also taking advil occasionally.

Thirding the braces, even to sleep (especially to sleep, for me, because the position I held my wrist in while sleeping made it hurt a lot)!

I'm not sure about the CT, but my son is 13.5 months, and my c-section site is still numb. :(

(Granted, it's not the painful "pins and needles"-type numb anymore, it's just... I can't feel it/around it, and when it touch it, it feels "weird".)

It took a year for my hands to feel like my hands again after my son was born.

Oddly this pregnancy (now 37w), I haven't had carpal tunnel syndrome at all.

I'm hoping I won't for my second one too. But I really can't complain given the lack of any other symptoms. Looking forward to my hands feeling like hands again! Thanks!

have you tried a chiropractor? I had my ulnar nerve pinched a couple of years ago from a car accident and my arms, wrists and hands all went numb intermittently until I started seeing a chiropractor and he popped my elbow back into place, which relieved the pressure on the nerve. I usually have him realign my wrists and elbows about once a month, but I also have other medical reasons that necessitate it too.

No I haven't. I'm not sure if I should just wait longer before I do try one. Or maybe I'll try the brace route like some comments and then see. Thanks! I'll definitely keep this in mind!
