thanks for sharing, this is beautiful!

Man... things like that make me wish I could handle the pain in order to have the nice, peaceful water birth. But I can't do it, I need drugs!

haha! I think you may surprise yourself.

During the labour of my first I was literally thinking the pain was so bad I'd rather be shot in the face than continue - I was so scared. With my second, I prepared mentally for birth, did hypnobirthing and waterbirthed and the pain was totally tolerable. In fact, I'd birth again tomorrow just for fun! I truly think your mental state is so important. And if *I* can birth without pain medication - anyone can. Dude, I faint during blood tests and have the lowest pain threshold of anyone I know!

That was so beautiful, I really hope to have a water birth with my second (still TTC)! This made me really feel like I can do it, can I PM you and ask you some questions?

That was so beautiful! Between the pictures and the birth story, I totally teared up. The way Dad looked at Mom after the baby was born...just wow. I think you've inspired me to look into getting a birth photographer this time.

I remember seeing pics from you before...was it your own birth?
