It was encouraging to read some of your VBAC and successful large baby birth experiences. I truly took all of your words to heart. But, after much ( Read more... )

Your comfort with how things are planned to go means a lot. It seems you're understanding of this choice and are at peace with it. What more could be asked for in this world? :) I had blood pressure issues too at the end of my pregnancy. They can be pretty scary.

I hope things go well for you and the baby and that your recovery goes smoothly. May 31st is an awesome day to be born - it's my stepsister's birthday too and she's one of the best people i know.

Not that you need the internet's approval, but I think ultimately it's important that you do what you feel most comfortable with. I think possibly planning the c-section this time around gives you the perception of control over birth that you felt like was taken from you last time. Maybe you need this as a healing experience and I certainly wish a happy birth to you and your baby girl! Best of luck!

Thanks for this post! I am planning a VBAC with my second child in September, and it seems like everyone is severely divided on the issue. If I end up with a C-section, I don't want to feel like I failed at childbirth or something. I just want to feel in control of the situation, which I did not feel I had last time.

Sounds like you are making the best choice for you. Post pics when you have them on Tuesday!
