I would never suggest these "carriers" to anyone. Not only have women's credit cards numbers been stolen but they are dangerously made. Lying to people and saying they're "free" when it's really inflated shipping is shady. I wish this post would be removed because it is going to put children in danger if they use this piece of junk.
LADIES, DO NOT ORDER THESE SLINGS, THEY ARE A WASTE OF MONEY AND CRAPPY!!!!!

my credit card wasnt stolen, nor has 3 other friends that have used them. i have a 17 month that i use in the sling and she absolutely loves it. i got mine when they were doing a promo like this and shipping was $15 (if i remember correctly) and you can opt to get the size exchange for around $3. i'm glad i did cause i didnt size myself correctly and returned it without any hassle. everyone's got opions about every product though. and not every product is going to work for every person either.

Cool, you're lucky. My friends got their credit card info stolen.
I'm sorry you don't know what to look for in a carrier but a cheap piece of cloth is dangerous. I hope your child doesn't get hurt. I will absolutely warn everyone I know against using these worthless "carriers" and I also emailed the mods to let them know about this companies poor business practices. I certainly hope no one here orders from them.
There's a clear line between the "it works for us" cop out and something being flat out dangerous.
I'm also really tired if seeing this exact post on every parenting community I belong to.

i personally dont think its a cheap piece of cloth, it supports my daughter who is 25lbs. the mods can remove it if they want, although i dont see how this would vilotae any rules. and im sorry youre seeing it all over other parenting communities. i only posted it here (and im not sure if you consider this a parenting community) and one other place.
and do you have any links etc. on why they are so dangerous? if they are being recalled or something i would like to know and inform other moms i know that have them. thanks.
My cousin got one and is using it with her newborn... she loves it. I understand the material isn't as thick as some other slings but we live in Florida so she prefers the cooler layer. Otherwise I have no opinion, I have a Peanut Shell that I am happy with. :)
This. I have one of these and a hotsling, and while it may not be as thick, I thought it would be nice for summer with an infant. It may not last as long but it I've looked at it and the seams are all nicely done and secure.
I didn't get my credit card stolen either. No matter where you buy stuff there is always a chance at having your card stolen. Sounds like someone up there has a problem with a company they've never even dealt with themselves.
yikes! i just ordered a free sling and nursing cover from Udder Covers (shipping was only $10 for each). Im a first time mom and was recommended a sling, but now Im scared! i definitely will be monitoring my cc information too! i do agree that a lot of people have different opinions about what is "safe" and what isnt. For instance, my midwife doenst recommend the Moby and yet I have friends who LOVE it. its all a matter of opinion really. anyway, thank you ladies for both opinions on this.
yes, she is from the UK and told me that carriers of that type have been known to cause breathing problems and have even resulted in a few infant deaths. I still ordered one because all my mommy friends highly suggest it, I think Im just going to be extra careful about making sure my girl is properly fitted and her neck is in the right position.
Thank you all for the nice words regarding your purchases. I definitely think the cover looks nice, and how could that be dangerous right? Here I was thinking I got such a great deal until I saw this post. Good to know that there were some other good experiences with the company.
I got one to give to a friend... but only did it because I could use paypal and not give them my direct cc. We'll see what quality it is when it gets here and if it horrible, it'll go back. I prefer the lighter material because as others have mentioned, I live in Florida, so it's a must.
I brought myself a Baby K'tan Breeze... it looks like a moby, but none of the tying. Though if this one is nice and light, my friend might be out of luck ;)
I never got the moby to work for us, my baby was big, I was too fat. I felt like a dinosaur with little arms sticking out and couldn't do anything when I was wearing baby. So then what was the point! lol.
thanks. I can't stand those who think they are better because they can afford a "better" product.. ugh. Honestly, it's all in the wearer.. mind you if it had stitching loose, or was worn thin or something, then yes, I'd probably say it wasnt worth the exagerated shipping, but for $15 (in Canada) I got a great, fashionable carrier that I use at the mall, not for hikes or outdoor adventures mind you, but it does the trick.

I've ordered a cover and a sling. Both light weight material, which is perfect since I'll be having a summer baby.
