*deep breath*

On Tuesday, I (stupidly) decided to go run some errands and wound up hitting ice and flipping my car. I wasn't going very fast when it happened and I only flipped because where my car went off the road the ground wasn't level with the road. I watch a set of 3yr old twins and had my dog with me, we were all fine. No injuries, no bumps, no bruises ( Read more... )

Most likely baby has just changed position and is having a bit of rest! Decreased movement around 24-30 weeks is normal as they start to run out of room then! & believe it or not but they do sleep and enjoy quiet time occasionally! Try not to worry but do get checked out again just reassure yourself. :)

Also the pain in your bump could just be RLP/general pregnancy pain as there is a lot of strain being put on your muscles!

Thank you :)
That really does help me feel a little better. I wouldn't even be worried about it if I hadn't had the accident. I would just chalk it up to her having a lazy-dazy day.
I think I'm just worried because she's not moving around her "normal" times or getting an attitude with me when I sit someway that she doesn't like.

Perfectly normal and reasonable to be worried just don't over do it! It's definitely a good sign that you can still feel her move, she probably is just having a lazy day! Don't forget that babies are well cushioned in there. :)

They _have_ to say to go to the ER for most things, for liability reasons. Lame, but what if they didn't say it and something was seriouslky wrong. They can't diagnose you over the phone, but it would be nice.
Id call and try to get squished in, just for peace of mind. I'm surprised no ultrasound was done!

I don't mean this to sound as "snarky" as it does lol
I don't expect her to be able to diagnosis me over the phone. I think I just have a sour taste if my mouth with her. The first time I ever called and had to talk to her she didn't even listen to what I had to say. She just cut me off and said "I don't know, go the ER or a walk-in." So yeah... haha

I think it was because of how busy they were that day in the ER and the fact that I had no visible signs of "trauma" or anything. Plus, I have a friend that is a sonographer and she came in to check on me. She said if they weren't so busy she'd do one on me after I got done but they were packed too.

I have my alarm set to go off at 8 so I can call as soon as they open.

Agreed on the ultrasound. When I fell from the stairs they did one on me I would think flipping the car would call for one too. IMO weird.

I got a little one yesterday. After listening to Kizzy's heartbeat and seeing her kick the Doppler my NP didn't think I needed an US. She felt bad for me though because I started to cry and got me a quick peek at her so I'd know she was ok.

I'm so glad you're okay. I would have probably gone to the ER haha, especially if I got that reaction. How annoying.

Don't forget to replace the carseats!

Thank you :) We are all very grateful we are ok too haha.
I REALLY just don't want to go to the ER if I don't have to.

Oh yes, I told their mom to hold off on paying me until the cost of seats is covered.

Insurance (yours or hers) should cover the carseat replacement... I say *should* only because not all do, but most do.... Good luck!

Also, I've noticed when my little boy has a really active few days then he'll have a really calm few days - he's my little rollercoaster! So the decrease in movement is probably just the cycle... But if you're worried, get in to see SOMEONE! Peace of mind is more than worth it!

It's possibly a growth spurt. My son would get real quiet in there and then a few days later I always "popped" a bit more lol.

Oh my, another one! haha. The twins mom said yesterday that I already looked a little bigger than I did on Friday.
Before I got pregnant I was always jealous of the mom's with HUGE bellies. I think I may be getting my huge belly wish. I don't think I will ever learn to be careful what I wish for haha.

I went through this, lots of activity one week and then less the next. It scared me. But at my ultrasound, we saw baby had flipped and was facing my back. Her kicks were getting muffled by my placenta.

At 25 weeks, baby still has a lot of room to move around and can change positions easily.

She may have done just that. The weekend before my accident I felt her doing all kinds of flips in there.
She was sleeping all curled up on her tummy with her butt in the air yesterday so I don't know how she's facing right now haha
