GOOD GOD I WANT TO SLEEP lol

So--- ive had about enough. I am 23w3d today and I am an already insomniac person and take (as per DR's okay) two tylenol pm at night almost every single night to help me sleep. Last night we were out of it and I had no reprieve. I tossed and turned and couldnt get cool or comfy and am now miserable and will most likely be pissy going into my ( Read more... )

I am in the same position as you! What is the cause of your insomnia? Is it stress? Mine is definitely stress-based... (I can't turn my brain off at night ( ... )

you can take Unisom or just a regular Benadryl

And this is what worked for me. I've never tried Unisom, but ONE benadryl knocked me out cold for a good 8 hours!

But it's the same active ingredient as the sleep-inducing part of Tylenol PM... if Tylenol PM isn't working for the OP, there's absolutely no reason that Unisom (the diphenhydramine formulation) or Benadryl would work.

OP, tolerance to diphenhydramine can develop after a couple weeks of continued use.

After a string of horrible sleepless pregnant nights, I would often take a sick day from work and just stay in bed and recharge my batteries. Not sure if this is an option for you, but it seemed to help me.

Unisom is on my list of safe meds to take. I take it every night. It is a life saver! I take Tylenol PM only if I have a headache or some other pain. But both of those have been my best friend the last few months!

Unisom, unisom, unisom. This med has literally spared me of so many restless nights, it's ridiculous.
