New Year's Eve Baby!

Jackson Ryan was born at home on December 31, 2010 into my hands.

The short version: My water broke around noon and he was born at 3:07pm with no interventions. He weighed 7 lbs even and was 20.5 inches long.

Congratulations! Dec 31st is my Mom's birthday too. It sounds like you had a fantastic home birth, I only hope I can be so lucky to have one too if/when I ever get pregnant.

Your story is so amazing. I love the bit about you "threatening" to tell folks that your husband wouldn't let you give birth until his truck was fixed. Now THAT'S funny. :D

I am so glad that you had the right birth team to support you. Congratulations all around, and especially on getting the birth that you wanted. Heal well and take care. Can't wait to read about your successes in breastfeeding!

hehe; i absolutely love that we were teasing each other in our typical fashion until just a few hours before the actual birth.

i can't wait to finally post over at the BF'ing community. i have been watching awhile and there are ton's of great people out there on it.

milk came in yesterday and we are doing great!
