Hip Pain and Numbness at 6 Weeks?

Nov 25, 2010 08:45

I’m 6w1d today, and yesterday during my nap and last night while sleeping, I noticed some hip pain and numbness. I’m not having any trouble getting to sleep, but I’ll wake up and the hip I’m sleeping on will be either sore or numb, so I have to turn over, then repeat a while later. Is this normal so early? Or do you think this is unrelated to ( Read more... )

While your body does start producing hormones to relax you joints by 6 weeks it seems awfully early to have pregnancy related hip pain. I know I will get sore hips from sleeping hard when I'm not pregnant so I'd go with choice B.

That's what I figured. I guess I've just never slept so hard before. Thanks. :)

I can't remember exactly when mine started, but it was pretty early on that I would get some of that... could have been around that early! I wouldn't worry about it too much; my midwife originally said it might be the start of sciatica, but I never got further symptoms, so I assume it had to do with the hormonal and circulation changes, perhaps coupled with my and/or baby's position. But of course, whenever something persists or it worries you, it never hurts to ask a professional! :)

I get this and have done since early in my pregnancy. I never had this problem before, but have no idea what causes it. I would guess it's normal though. :)

I had this during my first trimester and very early. It went away for a while and then came back in my second trimester. I think it's whenever the hormones decide to relax your joints that it comes and goes.

I had it early on with this baby. Doc said it was normal and that it will sometimes let up in the 2nd trimester when you uterus pops out your abdomen. I had a few weeks relief and BAM third trimester hit and now my hips, back, tail bone and sciatica pain is full blown! Boo. :)
