drop baby = decrease in movement?

Could a baby dropping be a reason behind a decrease in movement? My son hasn't been very active the last 2 days but I also just noticed my stomach looks like it literally dropped overnight. I'm 34 weeks tomorrow does that seem a little early to drop?

Both of my babies were fully dropped by 34 weeks. My first was born at 39w5d, second at 37w4d.

Thanks! I should have read my pregnancy week by week. Go figure it's the first thing mentioned for week in that chapter.

I'm pretty sure this baby dropped a few days ago. I woke up and my body looked completely different than when I had fallen asleep and I feel WAY more pressure. I'm 34w2d.

I've not got there yet, but everything I've read says there's a decrease in movement around 34 weeks.

Thanks! That's so much reassuring. I was afraid to look it up on google and scare myself.

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow, and must be the only one who doesn't buy into the "baby moves less" later in pregnancy. He's still pretty active.

I agree. Mine is very active and makes my belly bounce and jiggle and I see parts shifting back and forth across my belly and feet and knees poking me on the side and in the ribs! I'm 36wks 4 days.
