39 week update.

The baby feels much lower in my pelvis and I'm having a lot of painful pressure. At my appointment today, the doctor said her head was "incredibly low" and "pretty much right there" during the internal exam. But my cervix is still only about a fingertip dilated. I'm very discouraged.

I feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever. :/

I'm only 24w5d, but I discovered a stretch mark in the shape of the infinity symbol last week. I hope it is not foretelling a never ending pregnancy.

39w 5d here too, don't be too discouraged--I've been at 3cm since 35.5 weeks and haven't changed since, it's definitely not a sign of impending labor in my experience. You could go into labor an hour from now and have that baby by morning!

Don't get discouraged. I have had several friends go into labor being not at all dilated the day before, and one friend whose son didn't drop at all until the day she went into labor! You're very close to the end! Stay positive!

I was only fingertip dilated...the day I went into labour (last monday/22feb)...after my membranes released/water broke...I went from fingertipped to 10cm within 32 hours. It can happen pretty quickly when labour starts:)
