I know I love reading birth stories and looking at birth photos while I am pregnant so I thought I'd link you guys to the birth story (NSFW - picture heavy) of my daughter. Thank you. I am genuinely surprised anyone got to the end of it! I wanted to keep a record for my daughter so I included everything I could remember which was obviously an overload!

I am incredibly lucky to have a photographer for a sister. Especially once that's actually good at taking photos! I love those angel ones too. They were really fun to take as we got to hang around with her naked for a few hours until she got just in the right position. We also all got peed on at least once!

i actually cried reading this, it's such a beautiful story. my hubby and I are photographers and I am soooooo wishing we did the newborns pics with our first daughter like you had done.... GOD are they just the most precious things! I know that we were so overwhelmed with a newborn that we never even got around to it but I"m due in like a month so we will be on the ball with this one. Thankyou for sharing that! <3

Thank you! It wasn't hard to get the newborn pics done as we were staying at my sisters two weeks following the birth. We just heated the spare room (these were taken on an old mattress on the floor) and hung out with her naked for a few hours until she was in the position we wanted (we did lots of baby moulding to assist!). We all got peed on at least once!

Are you getting your husband to photograph your birth? It would be great to be married to a photographer, I have real problems when neither of my sisters are around, handing the camera to my husband always yields blurry shots! This means I am always on camera duty at our house and am missing from all our photos (I don't actually mind this though!).
