I think I may have PUPPP. I started out with just regular stretchmarks up the sides on my stomach and my lower belly. Now inside the "rips" of the stretchmarks there are large, red, swollen bumps. Its like I have been bitten by mosquitos all over my lower belly and now its spreading up above my bellybutton. It itches SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. Its ( Read more... )

Is it possible you're allergic to either of the creams/oils you're using? I might stop using them for a little while, see if the bumps go away.

I have been using the cocoa butter and bio oil since 5weeks pregnant to help prevent stretch-marks because I scar easily and although I know genetics play a huge part I wanted to try to do some preventative care just to make myself feel better lol.

I do have sensitive skin. I am having my doctor look at it again tomorrow because this is ridiculous. My skin hurts sooo bad.

You know, I just had to look up PUPPs-- I hadn't heard of that before-- and I have to say, it really does sound like what you're describing, so I'm going to change my answer a bit. The online entry I found referred to treatment with steroids, which your doctor may be trying to avoid. All I can say is, maybe soothing oatmeal baths or calamine lotions? And, my deepest sympathy?

Yeah I had never heard of it either I just googled "SEVERE itching during pregnancy" lol and came across it.

Yeah they are trying to keep this little on in as long as possible as she has tried to come early 2x already. I am 35weeks but still she doesnt need to come earlier than she should so they said steroids can make that happen plus steroids are hell on your bones and I have had to take them in the past for another issue.

thank you for your sympathy. My husband didnt realize it was a real issue he would just snap "stop scratching before you scar yourself" once I showed him online that I am not going crazy and it really is a condition he feels so bad lol.

We will see what the doc says today.

My step-daughter had it terribly - she highly recommends Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap for the itching.
