Thanks! I'm actually somewhat surprised at how essential humor has been to the whole thing. I'm something of an anti-medical boot stomping birth nazi, so having a section was something I thought would destroy me. Knowing how emergent it was, and having confirmation that it was medicine to cave lives and not medicine to save time was a huge helper. I think the most important part has been letting each emotion happen. I've laughed and beamed with pride at what I did, and sobbed that I didn't get to see or hold them. I've been ecstatic with having them all safe and sound, and nervous and guilty about having them early. I think the important part is that you accept how you're feeling, and then work through it from there. It's easier to incorporate humor into an emotion and situation once you've really felt it all out. Here's wishing you a longer pregnancy, and a shorter delivery! :D I'll hang on to these healing vibes (honey what are you doing holding on to 8 vibrators??? oh nothing dear) and will send them back if you need them later! *
I wanted to thank you for being as emotionally honest as you were. I think this is the first c-section post that I've read from someone who wasn't pro-section that didn't just scare the bejesus out of me. Thank you for sharing about the good AND the bad.
Wow! This was incredibly entertaining since you made it clear in the beginning that the end result was two beautiful babies ;] Congrats and it's amazing that you changed two peoples lives in such a beautiful way over 29 short weeks!

It does hurt to laugh and sneeze for a while after a section. :/ Hope your recovery goes well!
