Licorice Root

Has anyone ever tried or know of anyone who has tried Licorice Root Tea to induce labor? I have read up on it a bit online and it says you should not drink it while pregnant cause it could cause pre-term labor.

I'd be careful with licorice root if I were you. It can raise your blood pressure and it lowers your potassium levels. I was using the pure licorice root chew sticks when I quit smoking back in January (they're a great stop smoking aid) and had to stop when I found out I was pregnant. It sucked because I'd just bought a pound of them online, lol. The tea probably isn't as concentrated as the chew sticks, but I'd still be careful nonetheless.

Thanks for heads up! I'll keep this all in mind if i decide to try it. My last pregnancy resulted in an induction, so if I get to that point this time around, I'm willing to try just about any natural alternative.. except of course for caster oil lol.
