I am eight weeks pregnant and have had spotting off and on the last two weeks. I was put on pelvic rest and seemed to be doing better but then two nights ago there was a pretty big blood clot on the toliet paper. I almost passed out at the sight. I did have a little bit of cramping but not much - on a scale of 1-10 it was a 1. My mom thinks I ( Read more... )

I miscarried at 6 weeks several years ago, and there was quite a bit of blood and clots, as well as a lot of cramping pain. YMMV, but it doesn't sound like a complete miscarriage... possibly on the way though. :/

I would have it checked out to be on the safe side. It could be nothing, it could be serious. My friends daughter who miscarried at 8wks had a heavy flow and a clot or two when she went to the ER.

I miscarried at about 6-7 weeks many years ago and it was horrid. Very, very bad cramping, a good deal of blood loss, a lot of clots. I have fairly heavy periods with a good deal of cramping and this was on a completely different level of anything I'd experienced before or since.

With my current pregnancy I had a scare at about your time. A few days of heavy bleeding with some clotting. When the bleeding became bad I rushed to the ER, and as I'm still pregnant things turned out to be fine. After the ER visit the bleeding lasted another two to three weeks. At the time I was told that it just happens with some women, the ER Dr's wife apparently bled through both her pregnancies. He told me to not worry unless the cramping became severe or I was bleeding through a pad in an hour.

My guess is that you didn't miscarry, but I have heard of some ladies who had comparably painless ones to what I experienced. If you're feeling fine and not spotting right now I personally wouldn't rush to the Dr. Good luck though.

I would get it checked out just to be on the safe side. I have heard that some women bleed throughout their pregnancies and everything turns out just fine. Try not to stress..I know easier said than done!

And I totally feel ya on that beer! I'm 34 weeks today and couldn't ask for anything else! Haha

Try not to worry about it too much. I know - Easier said than done!

My miscarriage was missed, I never bled so I have no idea about bleeding with a negative outcome. I do have experience with bleeding during a pregnancy that had a positive outcome though. :) I started spotting at 6w, went to the hospital, put on pelvic rest..you know the deal. I think I was 7 or 8 weeks when I was getting ready to go somewhere and I started having like MASSIVE cramps and then gushed bright red blood. I was HORRIFIED but it turned out to be a subchorionic bleed (clot between placenta and uterus.) And I'm now 30w pregnant. :)

Hang in there and good luck!
