I know the feeling you're talking about, it happens to me sometimes during sex. I hadn't thought of it being double jointed though.

I have had the popping during all of my 3 pregnancies, it is called SPD and is quite painful for me. http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/pubicpain.htm

I have that popping happen even when I'm not pregnant. It kind of freaks people out when I show people. I do remember it being more painful both times I was pregnant...
