Clumsiness is a pretty typical pregnancy symptom. Part of it is that you're basically perpetually preoccupied with the baby, even if you don't realize it. Some part of your brain always seems to be going "Baby baby baby baby!" all the time. On top of that, you're experiencing lots of very, very rapid body changes. Consider how fast puberty was and all the changes it entailed - you're making even more drastic changes FASTER now! I wouldn't worry too much about that. It gets better during the 2nd trimester for most women because they're not huge yet, but they're adjusting more easily to pregnancy, but it generally comes back around the third trimester when you're bigger and your center of gravity is more significantly different

thats how i know im prego, i start dropping everything!!! with my first i worked in a cafe, never dropped a plate the whole time until i was preg. dropped 10+ dishes before i decided to quit. haha. oh and the emotions were awful, i just couldnt handle the job physically though :\
I'm more of a tripper and bumper than a dropper. I'm required to wear high heels to school and I've gotten clumsier as weeks went by. I have to watch how and where I step because I've had a lot of "almost-falls." I also tend to bump into things more now >_< And about my hormones, I'm more sensitive now but considering my situation, I just have to suck it up and go on. Sometimes, I just take a pillow and scream into it...not very productive but it works for me.
While the placenta is still in the works, you will be on hormonal overload. After the placenta is developed and starts managing hormone production for baby, you'll have at least somewhat of a break. Definitely hang in there, and if you really can't stand it into the second trimester, then you know it's just not where you need to be.
However, if it does cause you to be on stress overload every single day, consider taking a short-term leave if possible and coming back once the hormones have stabilized more. In that time, you can really see if you'll be able to handle it without just outright quitting right away.
In the end, though, only you can judge what is best for you and baby. Taking care of yourself is number one!
