I know mood swings are common during pregnancy from the hormones and I expected it. I guess I expected to be more emotional/tearful, but instead I'm having bouts of anger. I can't even vent on LJ, because 99% of the time I don't even know what I'm pissed over.

I would talk to your doctor...express you would like other options aside from meds. I was on zoloft and had anger/depression issues. It helped a great deal. It was my last resort before I went completly nuts!

I've always felt that medication is a last resort. I don't want to feel so out of control that I rely on pills to help me function. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with those people who need it, but I would much rather do whatever else I can first before turning to drugs.

I keep forgetting that your diet can affect your moods. I've been eating too many carbs. I'll see if cutting out some sugars/carbs helps out. Thanks for the advice!

If I had any recommendations I wouldn't be in the same boat that you're in.

But I hope it helps to know that you're not alone.

How far along are you, later in the pregnancy, they'll probably level out. Mine got worse after I had my daughter... and stayed horribly bad until i got pregnant this time.. and now Im level. I will probably be seekign some sort of medication after this one is born because I don't want to return to the person I was.

I'm almost 20 weeks. I hope it starts to level off soon.
