Cloth Diaper Question

Feb 24, 2009 16:51

Hello,

I've been doing my research on cloth diapering, and am waiting to be accepted to clothdiapering , so I thought I would ask you ladies a few questions.  I looked through this community's tags, as well.  I got lots of great info there, but I still have these inquiries...

We're already certain that we're going with cloth.  I really like bumGenius in particular ( Read more... )

No first hand experience just yet, but we'll be doing prefolds with a cleaning service. And my cloth-diaper-n00b husband figured out how to "pin" a prefold onto a "baby" (teddy bear, haha) in about 2 seconds using a Snappi.

I've found the bumgenius don't last that long, anyhow. I'm in love love love! with our one size baby kangas - they come in a huge assortment (13) of colors and they have a slightly better review than bumgenius and i've had numerous sites assure me the baby kangas last much much longer.

If you look up reviews for a few one size diapers you'll get a stack of opinions on each individual diaper :)

and these are the babykangas! the bamboo inserts are absolutely BRILLIANT - no joke we went through at least 12 different cloth diapers for our super peer daughter and these were the only thing that worked. I bought a package of 30 (I have a daughter already, but she's toilet training) and it also worked out cheaper.

Fuzzibunz are another one size!

We use Motherease. They aren't fancy, but they go from newborn to toddler. We only have to buy larger covers as the baby gets older. They are very reasonably priced and hold up against a lot of wear. We've never had any staining and they only "leak" if the cover isn't on properly. This is the website:

Definately try more than one. I have a few different kinds for newborn, (one sized do NOT fit newborns well!) Unless you try Rumparooz new one size, that starts fitting at 5 or 6 lbs.
Then most of our 1 size stash consists of Bum Genius because we were given 7 of them. so I pray we like them and don't have to fork over extra $ to try a few different ones! lol.
