Tomorrow I will be 5 weeks PP. My bleeding had completely stopped almost 2 weeks ago. I posted a little while ago asking about some pain I was having "down there" and now have a new thing to add so I thought I'd ask here before I call the doctor ( Read more... )

I am by no means a doctor, nor have I actually had a uterine infection. My doc did however suspect that I may have had a uterine infection. I was asked if my belly hurt, and they also tested by pushing on it a bit. They asked if I had discharge and if it smelled. I had a temperature.

Do you have a high temp? From what you have described compared to what they were looking for for me, it sounds like it could be a possiblility that it's a uterine infection. As for if you should go to a doctor or wait, I'd say go. Uterine infections are not things to play with and from what my doctors did and from what I read on it, they tend to treat you as if you have it before the test results are back if they suspect it. I understand from this and the enormous look of concern on my doc's face that it has to be treated quickly.

It might not be a uterine infection, but I do think that you should get it checked out very soon.

I don't have a temp at all and my belly hasn't been bothering me, but that does sound like a possibility. I'll call my doctor tomorrow, thank you!

No probems.

You mentioned your really low belly hurting when your bladder is full. When they checked my belly, they pushed up from the inside and pushed on the outside of my belly at the same time. They feel your belly just above the pubic bone really.

Yeah, I realized after I commented back. And then I pushed on that area and it is sore. I'm definitely calling my doctor tomorrow.

I ended up calling the doctor, she had me come in and checked me out. She said it seemed like it was just the normal healing process. (Thankfully!)
