Did they check your urine? I would go to your OB in the morning. My main cause would be the sudden swelling since that is a sign of Pre-E. Blood pressure being elevated is too but the protein in the urine is the more certain sign.
I will say towards the end of my pregnancy with my first after I started getting cervical checks I had tons of lubrication down there and it was just my mucous plug. I also had back lobar which I only ever felt contractions in back back, when they got really bad they would wrap around the front a bit but I remember them mainly being in my lower back. The slowly got worse and after about 5 hours it was obvious I was in labor and they were very timeable and I had a hard time talking through them and couldnt walk through them
Hmmm.... I have heard that practice labor can feel just the same as early labor, just without the progress. I'm sorry that they didn't look at your leg, I think that's a strange thing.
I'd personally take it easy this morning, go to your appointment, and see how things are looking then.
(I'm due now, and have been up since 2am with contractions that are definitely more intense than yesterday. The fluid that I'm leaking is more of a thin but viscous discharge that's red, if that helps gauge where you are now.)
It sounds like you could be in prodromal labor. Unless you're having serious signs of pre-e (like vision changes or dizziness) I would, if I were you, deal with the swelling by keeping your legs elevated, cutting down on salty foods and resting as much as possible. Just sit tight. Your body is obviously gearing up for something
