post partum hemorrhoids

I'm two weeks post partum... are the hemorrhoids going to go away on their own or do I need to do something? I was taking the stool softeners the hospital sent me home with until just a few days ago, and OW. I already drink tons of water and eat lots of fruits and veggies and whole grains, I'm not straining at all and it's still SO painful.

post partum, hemorrhoids

I am 3 months post partum and they still make an appearance from time to time!!! So annoying! Thanks for asking this, I'm curious as well if there's something I can be doing so they never come back!

Still pregnant with #1 and I've never had a hemorrhoid, but I've heard witchhazel works really well and those Tucks??? pads. And fiber fiber fiber! (I pay attention to the hemorrhoids victims because I figure if I haven't had one yet, I'll get mine after).

Feel better, that's got to be a pain (no pun intended :( ) to deal with on top of other lovely post partum stuff. :(

Witchhazel pads work really well.
I had them at the end of my pregnancy and after my son was born.
They make a HUGE difference.
If it doesn't help, or if they're bleeding a lot, be sure you say something to your doc because they can help you!

Mine finally went away at about 4 weeks PP. I'm 4 months PP now, and they haven't been back.
