I hate those days where I can't decide on what to eat because it all sounds bad. I REALLLLLYYYY want some good Mexican food but I live in Japan!!!!! AH! I miss Texas.

Also, I can't sleep at night. :( I've taken Benadryl but all that does is make me drowsy. I still can't sleep. :(

insomnia, food, pregnancy symptoms

I'm a native Texas visiting Japan right now. :) I feel your pain about missing Mexican food. My husband's in the military and we're living in Guam right now but I look forward to the day when we move back to the US and have access to delicious Tex-Mex....mmmmmmm.

Yeah, we're military too. I get to go back in two months since hubby will be gone. :( And I'm pretty that extra pay will be spent on food. Omg. :D It's sad how excited I can get about food . . . and Wal-Mart. What part of Japan are you visiting?

My husband's in the military and we are both from Texas and missing all kinds of food!

I've been having trouble sleeping too, I wish I had some tips for you, but I have been awake since 3:15 am!

See, I can fall asleep but at like 6 AM!! :( I'm probably going to take a shower here soon and go right back to sleep. The sad thing is I'm only 7w1d. :(

6 am has become "sleeping in" for me!

I forgot to put that we are in Alaska in my original comment. The restaurants up here are totally underwhelming and I can't find some things in he grocery stores and when I do, the things are usually waaaaayy expensive.

Haha yeah I feel ya. We were so excited when they finally got Ranch Style beans here at the commissary. But there's a lot that they don't have anddddd the Japanese style "tex-mex" doesn't taste good at all. :(

If it's pathetic, then I'm JUST as pathetic. I'm over here making a list of the places I'll go when I get to the states in about 56 days here. I want Freebirds World Burrito SOOOOOO bad. And Abuelo's and Josie's, and ROSA'S. And I think about it alll day. Everything I crave during this pregnancy is thousands of miles away from me. :(

MMMM, Freebird's!! That's something I'll definitely miss when we move out there. And Whataburger, and Chick-Fil-A, and the gorditas made by the Hispanic ministry at our church.

Oh, God. I've been craving good Mexican food FOR MY ENTIRE PREGNANCY. I only live about an hour south of Boston, MA but there aren't any good Mexican restaurants anywhere. All I want is a ground beef enchilada (or five) smothered in red sauce. But the good places only serve burritos filled with rice and guacamole and stuff. And the bad places...I've tried two. They make up the only two times I've wanted to tell the staff the food is unacceptable and walk out without paying.
