So I was actually going through false labor the entire morning. How horrible! I have a question, after false labor, is it normal for your uterus to still hurt? Because mine is still hurting, although it is not tight anymore.

oh yes, that's a workout for the uterus! i had several hrs of contractions a couple weeks ago (had to get two shots at the hospital to stop them) and was sore for a whole day or more. :-(

it was pretty horrible, and very counter-productive! lol

Don't let it get you down. There is no thing as "false labor". It's real, it just didn't lead to active labor. :) It's normal for your uterus to be sore after contracting. Hang in there.

hopefully next time it will lead to active labor... it really did feel like the real thing. I even started getting whatever was missing from my hospital bag..... hopefully I will have him soon though. Because that just really wore me down!!! and I can't imagine going through that and not delivering again, and what if I do go through that again and then the following day it leads to active labor!! It will be so tiring.... ah no sense in thinking that way... happy and productive thoughts :)

If it feels rather like you've overused the muscles, yes that's normal - your uterine muscles were working more than they usually do, it sounds like for hours on end. If it's hurting badly enough, consider some Tylenol/acetaminophen to help with it.

Suggestion: be good about your water intake for the next day or two. It will help a little with taking care of the build-up of lactic acid in the muscles that got worked hard.

Yes, it was hurting pretty badly, but I got a lot of rest last night and it feels fine now. :)

Of course. :) It's exactly like your legs hurting after a good run.
