Work is going really well. I never imagined enjoying my job as much as I do, but I do, it's true. Considering Carol works about the same hours, those aren't really a problem. It's strange to think a few months ago, I was telling Alex that Carrie and I are practically hermits who never left our flat except for work and now it seems like our flat is more lively than ever. I can't believe I've been twenty years old for five days already. I feel so old, even though I'm really not. When I was little and I thought about people in their twenties, they all seemed much older and more mature than me, but here I am. I think the one thing I've learned in the almost year I've worked at The Daily Prophet, is that you can never let your guard down and rest. When you least expect it, a newsworthy story is going to pop up and everyone wants to cover it. If you're not ready, then you get nothing. I actually had the day off! That happens maybe once in a blue moon, but I was ready for a small break. It was relaxing to actually have the opportunity to sleep in and have nothing scheduled to do. It seems bizarre to think a year ago I was studying as hard as I could at school and now I'm holding down a job and living in my own flat. Almost crazy ( Read more... )
