She'd been walking away from him, down the hall in search of her dog, but when he spoke, things instantly changed. In a matter of seconds she spun around, grabbing both a pistol that sat snugly in the holster draped over the nearest chair and a fresh clip from the table itself, and completed the 180 with her gun loaded and trained expertly in the direction she had heard the voice.
