Well, I didn't get my dream job today. I'm wavering back and forth between some kind of detachment and severe disappointment. I would have been designing books for a publisher under Penguin. (OMG PENGUIN, PENGUIN!) I listened to the HR lady's voicemail while standing on a noise-polluted street and getting rained on by discharged air conditioner

sorry about the job. if it makes you feel better, i only made 29K last year... with my dumb college degree. after working here for four years.
i'm hitting the 5 year mark this december... that means, its' time for a new job, i think. (maybe i should come join you in NY? i miss you!)

i can't afford life. so, i'm getting a second job... going to apply at KOHL's (where the boy's mom works) to be a cashier. so glamorous!
