Title: None
Fandom: Better Off Ted
Pairing: Veronica/Linda
Rating: Haven't the slightest clue

Linda has always been able to recognise a bad idea. Sure, not until said idea has been planned out, written down and set into action, but she never fails to eventually pick up on it.

She wonders if maybe she should explore this aspect of herself further, to possibly catch these things before they go spectacularly wrong, but just as she's about to figure out how, Veronica slams her shotglass onto the bar.

Then Veronica gives her a look that tells her she's yet again failed to get with the program, and Linda suddenly remembers why there's salt on her tongue and a shotglass in her hand.

Sometime after the fifth shot they started to go down with more of a spark than a burn, and somewhere there's a nagging feeling that this is not a good thing, and maybe she's a had a little bit too much, but it's getting more distant with every drink Veronica slides her way.

It feels like they've been here for hours, but Linda's not really sure how long. Besides, when Veronica announced she wanted to dance, and Linda was just tipsy enough to go along with it, she stopped paying attention to alot of things.

And where's the harm in having a little fun, anyway? And on your boss' expense, too. Which is not unlike taking something back from the company, and she has been looking for a new way to do that ever since she stopped stealing creamer.

When Veronica had come by her cubicle and announced that they were going to go get drunk, Linda had tried protesting. Veronica, being Veronica, wasn't noticably affected by this, and there was a look, and a comment about the importance of female bonding.

This, coupled with the victory dance her brain did every time it was presented with the prospect of free booze eventually overrode her concerns, and now she was next to Veronica in a club she would never have imagined Veronica ever setting foot in.

In hindsight, she'll know that this is the exact moment it went to hell. Veronica is grinding against her, and there's this vaguely disconcerting look in her eyes, like she's a lion and Linda is a particularly slow-moving baby impala, her fingers trailing down Linda's arm, and suddenly she can't breathe.

What happens next she won't ever be able to explain very well, but she must have sorted out the breathing issues, because Veronica dragged her along, and patience is something Veronica feels less than guilt, and figuring that Veronica was busy with the feelings "drunk" and "want", Linda wouldn't get far protesting anyway.

After she started working at the company, she stopped keeping track of things she never thought would happen to her, because it's Veridian, and most of the time she doesn't want to think about what they can and cannot do. But if she had one, being kissed by Veronica against the back door of some club would be pretty high on it.

She learns that Veronica really is good at everything. She unfastens Linda's bra without Linda noticing how. Linda wonders briefly if there's some sort of time machine she's not aware of at the company, because one moment she's fully dressed, walking a step behind Veronica on the sidewalk, and the next she's completely naked on a bed, Veronica hovering over her, with a look that states clearly that she's won.

Though Linda's not sure exactly what it is Veronica's won, she knows it's almost never a good thing when Veronica wins anything, but then she does this thing, and there's tongue and fingers involved, and the thinking part of Linda just stops, because there's this feeling that's vaguely like jumping off a bridge, only good, and with fireworks, and god Veronica does this too well. The edge of what she can reasonably withstand was passed long ago, and she was so, so wrong all those other times, because this is what it feels like to go insane.

But then there's a twist and a curling motion and a thing with the teeth, and a fleeting notion that maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all, before the world spins and she's hanging on to Veronica, screaming, panting, and quite possibly trashing, before everything slides out of focus.
