How did you come to perceive the apple tree as such?

But the apple is a common symbol in both secular and religious thought. Some have accepted it as the biblical "forbidden fruit" though it changes from the Old Testament to the New Testament. The Greeks also believed the 'Tree of Life' contained golden apples. In Norse mythology, the golden apples kept the gods immortal. If I have my mythology correct.
More specifically, there is a story in my own mythology about apples. As for the reason behind such symbolism, well, one can only speculate.
