FIC (Sort of): "Twenty Facts about Minerva McGonagall"

Oct 16, 2005 19:17

Okay, so finally I've managed to finish it. This is, of course, based on Minerva (_tartantabby_) as she is played at communiquills.

Much love to the other players, particularly tomriddlesquill and trickster_gryff!

Twenty (Now Not So Private) Facts about Minerva McGonagall )

Much love!

I adored this list--just a perfect balance of humour, angst and intrigue. Nicely done.

OK, Minerva, I have a boggart in my left hand, and the Mirror in my right. What do you see?

*mutters at pre_raphaelite1*
Can't she leave a woman in peace?

*sees the two and starts backing away in horror*
*pulls her wand and trying desperately to cast Riddiculus*

*turns and flees, never having figured out how to make Tom Riddle funny*

Oh, love this. Your Minerva is delightful, sweet and funny and staggeringly strong. I love what she says about Tom, how she speaks about him but also how she speaks about Sirius. *smooches*

And I really want to read that list. *g*

*hugs you*
You say the nicest things. It almost makes me forget how EVIL you are. *giggles*

Oh, god, I know. That list and the detention slips in Filch's office! Who ever has those two things can rule all of Hogwarts. *grins*

I already told you, but for the record: #12 is scarygood. Wonderful.

Remus is glad he himself never caused Professor McGonagall any problems, associations with certain people aside...and he is quite intrested to know when she figured/found out about him and Sirius...and how ;)

If she's up for answering anymore questions. *g*

*smiles softly at Remus*
Associations with certain people aside, indeed. Though that could be enough by some considerations. *eyes twinkle*

As for finding out about you and Sirius. Well, it was sixth year. You two weren't precisely obvious of course, but Sirius... Sirius was a wee bit too defensive when I spoke of you. Not to mention a few notes I found left in my classroom after you two left.

And, I don't think he ever told you, for whatever reason... But he and I were... *frowns trying to sort out how to word it* We were close.

But, I knew about you two. Just never knew how to talk to you about it. Before or... *lifts hands helplessly*

*smiles back* I did try to temper them. A bit. For about a week. But then I just gave up.

*nods* Sixth year? Early or late? *thinks a moment* Er. You found notes? Um. *blushes* Well...sorry you had to see that.

*frowns a bit* How so? I mean, I know you were probably hs favorite teacher, but we were all rather smitten with you. *chuckles* Even me.

We didn't...we didn't talk about it, but it wasn't a horrible secret. I think I would've died if you brought it up when we were still students, but afterwards...*shrugs* It would've been fine. Maybe now we can...remember. Together?

*chuckles softly*
You lasted longer than I expected. Though, I'm still surprised James and Sirius didn't kill each other that first night.

Early in sixth year. I gave him a hard time about his birthday and taking you out on that daft motorbike. *smiles at the memory*

*blushes at his admission* You were all plotting against me is more like it. "How can we make Professor McGonagall's brain implode today?" *laughs*

But no. Sirius and I... We spent a lot of time talking. And after that fiasco with Severus Snape and Sirius' parents... well, after that, I helped him sort through some things. Legalities and such. *rubs at her neck nervously*

*smile flits across her face* I think Sirius said something to that effect at the time. Though I think it involved the phrase "fucking seize up and die". And afterwards, I just didn't know. What happened and then. And now...

*wraps her arms around herself before shrugging helplessly* I'm really awful at this emotional revelation business.

Awwww... at #9.
OUCH! at #12.
If anyone would ever be tempted to read CQ, it would be #14. That, and latter talks of Sirius manacled to a wall. :p

*heart you*

Yeah, #12 is rather wicked and terribly, terribly incriminating. You won't find Minerva fighting off a boggart if she can help it. More useless that Molly Weasley at it. *sighs and hugs Minerva*

*grins and tempts more*
I like tempting people. Particularly if it involves Sirius manacled to a wall.

*heart you back*

Darling, you already know that I am in LOVE with your Minverva. She's so wonderful, the way you write her! And now, everytime I read over the HP books, I read her with different eyes. I have you to thank for that. *hugs*

Also, Ginny is very thankful for Minvera being there for her after the whole diary fiasco. *nodnod*

...

*hugs again!*

Oh wow. *blushes* Thank you for saying such wonderful things. *hugs you tightly* Your Ginny is bloody wonderful too!

I think more conversation between Minerva and Ginny could result in Minerva revealing certain things that none of the trio era know... well, that really anyone knows. Because Minerva is quite frightened of what Tom may have done to Ginny and imagining the worst. *pets her*
