It was a good Christmas. Last night we went out to dinner, just the two of us, free from family obligation. And then came home and drank too much while we watched The Two Towers. Waking up this morning was not my favorite, but we needed to be at David's by 2. It was fun there with lots of good presents. I was able to convince Maggie that egg nog is good! I got a garrote (or a cheese cutter, depending on how you look at it), some snake skin leggings, some of the old fashioned kind of champagne glasses I've been wanting forever, fancy socks and soaps and toothpaste, a pair of pajamas "made in glamorous Los Angeles," a flapper hat, a comfy cardigan, some becherovka, and a tiny bag filled with makeup and skin care samples (casheme fiber lip balm?). Also books and clothes and jewelry that I opened earlier in the day.
But mostly I'm excited because I can stop hiding the fact that I've been making
these, temari balls:
Merry Christmas, but I have to go to work in the morning!
