The so called spirit of Mumbai is prevalent all over our country and its nothing to do with courage or resilience. Its the dire need of the man on the street to go to work to earn so that he can eat and feed his family. If he doesn't turn up to work, he loses his job. Which to him is more important than any terror attack. Simple!
You have our sympathy here in St. Louis. When I worked at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, I had co-workers both Bengali and Punjab, as well as Pakistani co-workers, all of whom respected each other as well. If this is the spirit of Mumbai, I applaud it.
I hope everyone you know is safe! Prayers go out for all those people who lost their lives out there!
For someone who has never stayed in Bombay I still can feel the pain of people there! It is a tough situation and hope that this nightmarish thing ends soon and things can return to normalcy soon!
I still cannot get to wish ill for the people responsible for this situation, but I just hope these people responsible for all this chaos not even find space in hell and their souls be tormented for ever.
