Catching up with American Idol

Drat, I noticed I've missed American Idol thus far. I wasn't sure if any of our channels had picked it up, but looks like one did. I just saw an episode with the four remaining contestants and went online to find an update, as the episodes lag a bit behind here.

LOL - I am a major Kris fan! He may look like a dime a dozen, but the way he has redone the majority of his songs that he picks, shows that he is an artist & he plays 3 instruments!

Oops, sorry! ;-) Kris is definitely not a bad singer at all, it's just that my personal taste runs more towards Adam's style (both style and music). I want something out of the ordinary, and there seems to be this general style right now that's very popular, this clean-cut, pretty boy/gorgeous girl style. I think it has been demonstrated well in the past couple of years in American Idol, too, so I'm rooting for Adam, because he's different. Although, quite honestly, I never thought he could have got this far with his rock style and lined eyes, considering American Idol has traditionally been pretty clean-cut. ;-)

Don't be sorry - I see Kris having a career like Jason Mraz or Rufus Wainwright... something along those lines - which is where my tastes run!
I do like Adam, especially when he slows it down - I LOVED his Tears for Fears song, "Mad World". I think both of them will do wonderful in their career. I almost hope Adam doesn't win because then he isn't as pigeonholed by an AI contract as the winner is - which I think Kris will do much better with because of the type of music he makes.
Last year, I loved David Cook, but didn't want him to win. AI has been shown to ruin good singers if they win the thing.

You're absolutely right. Besides, I have a doubt that there are quite a few people, especially older ones, who consider someone like Adam horrible. ;-) But at this point I don't think it matters if Adam wins or not, his career has already started and he's already super famous.

Dang that I can't see the finale live! :-P
