I emailed Dr. E (my psychiatrist) the day before yesterday, telling him my pain was beginning to affect my mood. He suggested Cymbalta or Lyrica, and I replied that I just can't afford either one. This is GREAT news for you for today! I'm glad that you have such a good GP and Psychiatrist. There are so many who don't support Fibro patients the way that is necessary.

Exactly! I'm so thankful that I have not one, but two doctors who are helping me with my pain!

Even my therapist is doing things to help. She understands when I talk about the frustration of the pain. She's getting in touch with another one of her patients who has fibromyalgia to get the name of a specialist she sees. :)

I have support from my doctors, my family, and my friends. What a blessing!

i love, love, LOVE, dr. e. i'm so grateful you recommended hime to me. mainly because he DOES care.. he's told me the same thing: "you do NOT have to feel this way, and i'm going to make sure you feel better." i love that.

i'm so glad things are coming together for managing your pain. that is truly a blessing. *hugs*

I know! I hope that the samples and coupons are enough to help me afford Lyrica. I know the samples will help me get through at least a month, but I just have to hope the coupons are a big enough savings that I can afford to keep taking it if it works for me.

My dad uses Lyrica since he got a terrible case of the shingles. Sometimes the pain doesn't go away. He says it's good. Hope it works for you.

Thanks. I hope it works and we can afford it! I had to turn down a different medication last summer because it was too expensive even with our insurance. I'm hoping for the best in this case!
