Day 8: Political Action

This year was the year I started to knit with the yarns I've been spinning. I had been wondering what to do with the small amount of thick and thin plied yarn that was one of the first that I'd spun. I eventually got the idea from my friend Carey, who knit herself a cowl out of a commercially available thick and thing single yarn, and I realized that trying anything fancy with this would take away from both the yarn and the knitting.
It's possibly my favourite thing that I've knit- it's ridiculously simple, but I like that when people ask me where I bought the yarn, I get to say I made it myself.
