whee! :)

ETA I nominate Frances Hardinge for some future iteration of the fantasy-oriented sublist of the YA list.

Oooooh, that looks fun. Isn't it funny how my notes for next year's list always start the same day that I finish this year's list? ;)

HE LIVES! DUDE, HOW ARE YOU?

Sadly, I got through Sirens this year, but my personal reading list for YA still has a whole crapload of last year's stuff on it. I may die by books.

(Oh. I must be hungry. :)) )

I, too, thought that you worked in academia for the quiet, easy life. I had no such delusions about working in the law, but oh my God, there has been WAY TOO MUCH LAW lately.

I have not been running, but I am eying Marbles's exercise bike, since I have convinced Poke3 that he wants to go cycling in Vietnam with me next year. I should perhaps work on the cycling, yes?

And yes, when are you coming back over here? (I am under no delusions at all that that Sirens registration is real, though you're welcome to surprise me!)

This is a great list, thanks for passing this along. (And yeah, I have the same reaction to all those top 100 lists - "white, male, bla bla bla, so full of himself, purple prose, not another narrative of the white, gifted, straight, male, ablebodied young artist in ~crisis~")

Ah, I see you, too, have read A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. :))

You're welcome! Happy reading!
