Yeah, but not with this dress, since I wouldn't have anything like that at the ball.

But I'm pretty sure my backup will work, and it's the same "lift and separate" silhouette of Regency.

... I just can't believe I didn't notice -_-

Yeah I'll just have to make a quick chemise instead. The bodice of the dress is pretty fitted so I don't really *need* a corset.

I'm sorry about the corset. But the bodice looks very pretty!

(I have been looking into teaching myself how to make corsets using just books and a few tutorials...would you suggest a self-taught method or taking a class? I know my first corset is going to come out awful just due to being a beginner, but I'm not sure if a class wouldn't provide more insight...)

I think it really depends on what kind of corset it is.
My first real corset was a Truly Victorian and it was super easy. I think most corsets just *look* hard.

I took a class for my corded corset, because I didn't know how to do that, but I think most boned corsets are pretty straightforward!
