I've always felt bad for Clytemnestra, because I've always thought Agamemnon was a jerkface who deserved worse than he got.

This was gorgeous. I especially like how Cassandra wasn't killed by Clytemnestra, because that bothers me in the original story.

Cassandra and Clytemnestra are in the absolutely same boat, if you go with the version of the story where Clytemnestra is robbed from her home. It makes no sense for her to kill someone she must see herself in. Assuming, of course, she's actually sane after all she's survived. Meh.

Oh, this is lovely; elegant and beautiful and bloody. I remember writing an essay in high school about how the women in the Greek tragedies were set up to fail; I love how you redeem Clytemnestra in this.

i know this comment is a bt late but endeni rec'd this story to me - she has superb taste and this is no exception. I like what akamine_chan said above, "elegant and beautiful and bloody". Yes, exactly so.
