That's... wow. Fantastic idea, gorgeously executed. Just a great balance of bitterness, tragedy and defiant hope.

Love the idea that the universe needs a Loki... but Loki sure as hell doesn't have to stick with the assigned part. (And Jarvis and Jormungandr... ! Oh, but that works SO well!)

(Stumbled on this via a link from Sam's Cafe about Reena's podfic of "Laconic Bastards." And there were many other stories that she'd podficced, and the summary of this sounded intriguing... so here I am. In other words, normal LJ randomness.)
