I can't join MySpace because I am told I am "ineligible to register for a MySpace account"

Would someone please explain this to me? I can't contact MySpace either!

You're getting far too wound up about this, IMHO.
I have a myspace account and I don't see that you're missing a hell of a lot that you can't, and aren't, already doing elsewhere.

I wouldn't either, if my family, my ministry and my goth + metal friends all insist I get MySpace, even moreso in the past few days.

Then again the only way they can prevent you from signing up is email based. Use a different email account.

Yep, thought of that.. used several different email accounts that I have, to no avail, all of them failed.

I hope you're right that this too shall pass, if only that my family et al will forget about MySpace and stick with more reliable fare, like LJ or, oh heck, here's a novel idea: My "Space"
