WAUGH. Elizabeth.

It's just...there is this maturity to her now that you can really see, and her calling is so heartbreaking and necessary all at once, because she's so right. No one should die alone, and it's because she's an Angel of Death she gets what so many people don't. Death takes from you and people are stolen from you but things like compassion and love can make that live on forever and gwah, her struggle and guilt is palpable.

/ends rambles.

The last bit killed me. Obvs. >.<

He has a way of saying so much without saying hardly anything at all, and she has a way of saying very little despite using too many words.

*flails again* They are opposites and they meet and it's terrible and wonderful and terrible.

I LOVED THIS. THANK YOU FOR WRITING IT. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. YOU FAIL NEVER. DO NOT ARGUE WITH ME. :|

Holy epic comment length, Batman. o__o

*CLINGS*

I am so glad you like it! Thank you for your review. It made me feel much better about it. :) <33333

And yes, she's developed a lot of maturity to her now which honestly comes mostly from the plagues. She helped a lot of people die then and saw people die that she couldn't help because she was helping someone else die at the moment. That and Josef made her realize with this solidness that what she can do in this world, for people is much more important and bigger than her ( ... )

*CLINGS BACK*

I think the plagues made a lot of them grow up. Poor kids, seriously. >.<

Their callings are, at times, so much greater than them as people. And that's amazing and it can also be so, so terrible.

I think that's why it killed me. Because this time she is the one who is pushing away by pressing closer, I don't know. They have these intimate moments and she's sometimes hesitant in them--rightly so--because she doesn't know if she'll get Josef or the demon. Maybe she wouldn't have been able to take it if she'd gotten the demon, after everything that she went through.

IDK. I'm rambling again. Mostly because I really do love it. It makes me flail hard but in a very good way. XD

That is what I'm here for! ^^

*deep breath*

Now Robin. :|

The plagues really did. I'm not sure that we anticipated that but really... we should have anticipated when planning the plagues cause how could they not have grown up from that experience? XD Seriously. Ah, alas. That's what is great about RP plots that affect so many people. There's no way to anticipate what will happen and how people will change from it.

Yes! I think that was it. Honestly. She's lately always trying to back away from him, maintain distance, not to something that might upset him, and here she is making that move and ignoring his word pretty much. That and just yeah all those other reasons wrapped up into the one kiss. Oh, kids. >< *FLAILS*

*SNUGGLES*

He is dumb. You probably already read it by this point but that would have been my warning otherwise. XD

uh. Do not mind the Marfa journal. :|

Oh, Elizabeth. Sweetie. I love seeing how much she's changed and matured - in good ways and bad (for her, I mean, because from a writing perspective it's ALL good) - since she entered the game.

Also, the bit with Zoe made me smile. And flail, a little. We should totally thread them some more some time.

It has been interesting. I've never had a character this young survive so long (*child-killer*) and go through so much in the process? So yeah, I'm really glad that she is changing and maturing even if it's not in the ways that are good for her to go all the time. That is life. I'm glad that you're enjoying that, too. <333

I really loved writing that part because it's the only part that made me go Awwww and smile as well even if there was a bit of a flail involved. We totally should. They should go on an adventure. Or. Idk. The point is I love Zoe so very much, and YES.

Oh, Elizabeth. HONEY. *SQUISHES HER* She really HAS grown so much and I love it. I love watching her grow, and this is just... Such a wonderful little take into how much she's grown. The whole first part broke my heart, because another angel could SO EASILY see that as a chore dealing with someone like that, but Elizabeth doesn't seem to feel obligated at ALL. She wants to be there so much and... Guh. *snuggles her*

And aslk;as THAT LAST BIT WITH JOSEF. AND THE BIT WITH AARON. *flailyhands*

Awww, thank you! I'm so very glad that you love watching her grow. I've enjoyed seeing it myself because none of this was planned. It all happened. I expected her first death to destroy her but it didn't. Goes to show you how much I know about what's to come for this girl. XD She really cares about everyone she helps to die and doesn't let it affect her in a negative fashion. She knows what she's supposed to do and she does it, and I did not expect that but I admire her for it.

Gwaaaaaah. Those were the hardest to write. The first bit she was angel and capable and bam, the second bit made me smile and flail. The last two bits she was enough of herself for it to hurt. >< She feels so bad about keeping this from Aaron. I don't think I can properly explain the levels of how bad she feels for it especially after everything he's done for her and how he's helped her with the fighting and showing her the ropes a bit. She really cares about him and feels like she's failing him utterly in the one way that REALLY matters and there's no one ( ... )

:< BAW. AARON IS WORRIED ABOUT HER. And he wouldn't judge her- I mean, he'd be worried a lot, BECAUSE UH? SCARY DEMON WHO HAS TOLD HER HE'S NO GOOD FOR HER, but he respects that she's old enough to do whatever she has to.

...And if Josef ever hurt her, he might come over with a shotgun. >:|

But I understand why she feels she can't tell him. -_- She doesn't KNOW he'd be... Well, not so much chill with it, as, um... Respectful of her decision and not with the judgeyness? XD

Baaaaw Aaron! Yeah, she hasn't told him not only cause she wouldn't know how he would react to it, but cause if she started to tell him, she'd have to tell him the whole truth. Everything. She wouldn't be able to stop herself from blurting it all out once she started like, "Soooo he kills and tortures people all the time and hasn't stopped and has said he won't stop and he showed me that he ripped the skin off the dude who tried to rape me down to the bone, and he choked me against a wall to show me that he's evil but I told him to kill me if he was so bad and he DIDNT and that means something right......... and he sexed me but that part was good." XD That's pretty much how it'd go. Possibly in like a total of 3 breaths with tears and trembling voice.

And she doesn't- She wouldn't expect him to do anything less than kill Josef or report him and get him locked up, because she knows that's what's "right"... that's justice, but it'd kill her to be the cause of that happening to someone she loves so much ( ... )

*sigh* I love this character. So much.

This was fantastic, and fantastically written, and just - arrrgh. The break. My favourite part was her dealing with the dying man. That was just ... wonderful. Elizabeth is SUCH a wonderful character.

Sometimes she can pretend like they are normal girls without a care in the world. Any time she can make Zoe smile or laugh in a way that really brightens up her eyes, she considers it a triumph... and an atonement, too.

*sigh* Loved that line, too.

*snuggles* Awww, your review made me so happy. I'm really glad that you love her because she's- YEAH. As I said before, I had no idea that she would come to this, and I love it but I'm wary of whether it makes sense or feels real.

I think that was my favorite part too. It's generally why I love writing fics with her so much cause I get into the her dealing with the dying people and I get to see what she's really made of. It's been exciting and unexpected, and thank you so much. Your reading and reviewing and thinking so highly of this and her mean so much to me.
