Hosting Hours: Chapter 18

Yunho got up and yawned, stretching his painful limps as he blinked against the bright sunlight. The calm, continues sounds of the waves and the yellowish glow gave the small cottage an almost idyllic atmosphere. It gave him a wonderful mood despite his uncomfortable sleeping place. After done stretching, he stood up, folded his blanket, and placed it neatly on the side when he noticed the faint scent of cooking. Curiously he walked towards the kitchen and noticed Jaejoong standing behind the counter, completely caught up with the food he was preparing.

Yunho smiled as he sneaked behind him, amused at how occupied the other was with his cooking. He was just deciding what would be best to do when he noticed a faint scent, something that vaguely reminded him of summer and something else, more playful, coming from Jaejoong. He moved a little closer and smelled the perfume Jaejoong had probably been wearing since yesterday, but hadn’t faded completely yet.

“Hm, you smell nice,” Yunho spoke softly. Jaejoong’s reaction was almost immediate as he yelped and dropped his spatula in shock. He spun around, almost making a pan fall over as he backed away from Yunho’s closeness.

“Yah! What the heck are you doing? Don’t scare me like that,” he snapped as Yunho bowed down and took the spatula he had dropped.

“I just like your perfume, it’s a compliment,” Yunho smiled innocently as he handed the cooking device back to him.

Jaejoong mumbled something very impolite and turned around, obviously deciding it would be best to just ignore the other man. While Jaejoong continued with his cooking, Yunho refused to leave however. leaning against the dinner table he watched the sunlight toy with Jaejoong’s hair. For a second he considered to try to touch the other again, but decided that if he wanted to live through the day it would probably be best to keep his distance. He walked around the table and sat down in one of the chairs instead, waiting for his food to arrive.

When Jaejoong was done cooking he put all of it on one plate, dumped it on the table, sat down and started eating.

Yunho eyed him with the most beaten puppy face he could muster.

“What are you doing?” Jaejoong said with his mouth full as he stared blankly back at him.

“Didn’t you make anything for me?” Yunho asked, putting an extra amount of cuteness to his puppy face.

Jaejoong raised an eyebrow and focused his attention on his food again, eating it extra slowly and making pleasured noises as to emphasize how delicious it was.

“Yah,” Yunho snapped, as he felt his stomach rumble, “you have more than enough for 20 people, give me some!”

“No,” Jaejoong said as he took another big bite, “I have a strong appetite, I need all of this. Make your own.”

Yunho pouted, “I... can’t really cook…”

Jaejoong didn’t look up from his food. “Well, how sorry for you, I think I saw some crackers somewhere in the back, they seemed really tasty… for crackers…” Jaejoong tried his best not to smile as he stirred his fork through his food.

Yunho glared at him. “Ok. Fine,” he said annoyed and stood up.

“See ya later Yunho,” Jaejoong said uncaring, as he stuck the fork in his mouth.

“I was actually in a rather good mood today,” Yunho yelled back as he opened the door and walked back inside the living room.

“Is that so,” Jaejoong said completely uninterested as he started to read to label of one of his ingredients, still enjoying his breakfast in the meantime.

“Yes, and I thought, ‘I could actually invite Jaejoong to go shopping for new clothing’s and shoes so he doesn’t need to wear this same outfit all the time’, but never mind now.”

“You what?” Jaejoong said, looking up from the bottle. “But… you said the nearest town was six hours by foot…”

“I lied,” Yunho replied simply.

Jaejoong stayed silent for a while as he eyed the couch that was only just visible from the kitchen. “But you don’t have any money!”

“Of course I do, why wouldn’t I have any money?”

“Because you are a poor loser and Changmin took it all? I dunno…” he replied as he started to poke his food again before he took a bite.

“Whatever, I have more money than you have right now anyway. I even have a watch and a phone and…”

“You have a phone?” Jaejoong gasped as he jumped up, his food immediately forgotten. He ran towards the other room. “Where is it?” he asked as he stood behind Yunho who sat on the couch, his arms folded.

Yunho looked up at him surprised, but decided to stay reluctant. “Not telling.”

“Yunho-ah~,” Jaejoong whined, “I need that phone, please tell me!”

Yunho just sat there, his posture still beaming reluctance.

“Tell me or I swear I’m going to be massively annoying for the entire day!” Jaejoong said threateningly, as he shook the couch back and forth a little, trying to sway Yunho to move through his child-like act.

“Fine, fine,” Yunho sighed, “it’s in my bag, in one of the side pockets, but I’m not sure…”

Jaejoong was already gone, sprinting to the bedroom as fast as he could. He duck under the bed, and pulled the bag out from underneath it. Hastily he started to search all the side pockets for the phone, possibly his only chance to get out of here. He almost cried from happiness when he found it and eagerly clicked it open immediately. After he pressed the ‘on’ button, he waited for a few seconds, finally frowning as it refused to turn on. He pushed it again… still not working.

“Yah! Yunho, it’s not working!” he yelled at the other.

“Could be,” the faint voice replied back, “I think the battery died yesterday.”

Annoyed he threw the mobile phone back in the bag again and pouted. “Stupid phone,” he muttered as he walked back into the kitchen and saw Yunho had practically finished all his food.

“Yaaaah,” he yelled as he pushed the other aside, immediately realizing there was barely a spoonful left. “Oh my god, you ate all my food?!” Jaejoong gasped as if he couldn’t believe this was happening to him. He looked at Yunho disbelieving. “You… ate my food?!”

Yunho wiped his mouth clean with his hand and looked back at the other guy innocently. “Yeah… It appears so.”

“You… just ate… my food,” Jaejoong repeated completely in shock, “all of it…”

“Uhm, Jaejoong,” Yunho said unsurely, “it’s just food, you can just make some more and…”

Yunho’s words got stuck in his mouth as he saw Jaejoong’s face. His usually pretty subtle features were now contoured with anger, and he vaguely reminded him of a combination between his foster mom when she found out he had fed his cousin’s hamster to the neighborhood cat, and a deranged bull. Slowly he moved his chair backwards, “eh… Jaejoong?”

“How dare you eat my food, you fucker!” Jaejoong suddenly shouted as he started to run after Yunho who duck away and ran through the door immediately, desperately trying to reach the front door. “I swear I’m going to rip your guts out!” Jaejoong yelled as he ran after Yunho, sometimes stopping to grab some sand he would throw at him.

---

After being chased around the shore for little over half an hour Yunho noticed Jaejoong had given up and had dropped down on the sand instead, panting heavily.

“You really don’t have any stamina whatsoever now do you?” Yunho smiled as he ran back towards him, obviously not taking Jaejoong’s fit very serious.

“Shut up,” Jaejoong breathed as he tried to throw a shell at him, “you ate my food, I’m not talking to you any more.”

Yunho looked down at him, amused, “oh, that’s too bad, then me and my practically limitless credit card will have to go shopping all by ourselves…”

Jaejoong eyed him skeptically, “you don’t even have a credit card…”

“I don’t? Hm, wonder what this is than…” he smiled as he took out a golden card and flashed it in front of Jaejoong’s face.

Jaejoongs eyes went wide, “you actually… Give me that,” he said as he jumped up to get it.

“Nu-uh,” Yunho replied mockingly, “and don’t you dare to steal it, it’s no use without my signature anyway.”

Jaejoong pouted, “yah, now you’re just being mean, I need it.”

Yunho looked back and forth between the card and Jaejoong. “Hm, I guess I could come with you and allow you to use it…”

Jaejoong’s face turned all rainbows and sunshine at the idea.

“If…”

His face fell again. “If what?”

“If I can be your pimp for the rest of the week.”

Jaejoong stared at him in utter disbelieve, “are you positively deranged? What the fuck?”

“I mean, I’ll let you buy something in trade for something else…”

“Something what, exactly, if it’s something perverted then forget it!”

“No, no, something like cooking for me and massaging my feet.”

“I’m not going to massage your feet!” Jaejoong said indignant.

“No? Oh too bad, say goodbye to your new clothes then,” Yunho smiled as he stuffed the card back in his pocket.

“No, ok, just…” Jaejoong started to pout again, “ok fine! I’ll do whatever you want as long as it’s not perverted and it doesn’t involve something with me naked, ok?!”

“Sure,” Yunho smiled pleased as he gave the card to Jaejoong who took it eagerly. “You wanna go now?”

“Yes,” Jaejoong said happily as he was about to run off into a random direction. “Eh… where to exactly?”

Yunho shook his head and tried not to roll his eyes at the typical behavior. “Just follow me.”

---

The town, located barely half a mile walking from the beach cottage, was small but had all the necessities, including a large shopping mall. Jaejoong practically squealed in glee as he bounced inside, Yunho following him with an amused smile on his face.

“Whaaah,” Jaejoong swooned as he ran into the first store and started to rummage through the racks of clothing, taking out some stuff seemingly at random. In no time he collected a pile of new clothes which he dragged towards the fitting room. The shop clerk was a little reluctant at him bringing so much stuff inside at once, but as Jaejoong used his natural charm and smiled at her sweetly he managed to take it with him anyway.

Yunho dropped down on a chair and started to space off a little while Jaejoong tried on the clothes.

“Tadaaaa,” Jaejoong said as he jumped out of the fitting room closet, flashing a pair of tight fitting ripped jeans and a loose black… Yunho wasn’t even sure what it was but it covered not even half of his upper body. “What do you think?” Jaejoong asked as he admired himself in the mirror.

“Uhm…” Yunho said unsurely, “don’t you think it’s a little… I dunno… Revealing?” The clothes fitted Jaejoong perfectly well, but for some reason he couldn’t really bring himself to sincerely like it.

“Revealing?” Jaejoong asked, as he turned around to check how his butt came out in the pants, “that’s good, right?”

“Ehm…” Yunho had no idea what he was supposed to reply now.

“Would you want to have sex with me if I was wearing this?” Jaejoong asked as he spun around one more time.

Yunho blinked, before a small smile appeared on his face. “Gladly,” he replied.

“Ok,” Jaejoong decided finally, “then I’m not buying it,” and he walked back inside, completely ignoring Yunho’s taken-aback face.

---

For almost five hours straight they walked through the mall, Yunho becoming less and less sure about his deal since by now they were dragging along three pairs of shoes, four pairs of pants, two shawls, seven shirts, two blouses, eight pairs of socks and a belt.

“Now,” Jaejoong said happily, “I only need underwear.”

“How can you buy this much all at once?” Yunho whined as he eyed the enormous pile of bags, “you can't possibly need all of those…”

“Of course I do,” Jaejoong answered as he walked inside another clothing store and towards the men’s underwear section.

“You know, you’re repaying in favors for every single piece of clothing, including the socks!”

“Yeah, yeah,” Jaejoong said uninterestedly as he eyed a pair of boxer shorts. He took out two simple black ones and put them in the basket as he walked towards the shorter slips. Yunho walked around randomly when he noticed some more interesting underwear, a plan to convince the other that they were shopping for quite long enough now taking shape in his head.

Sneakily he took a black leather thong and put it in Jaejoong’s basket, when the other wasn’t looking. Yunho smiled, as he moved towards the next rack, pulled out a see-through slip and placed it next to the thong. He was just about to put in a pair of fishnets when Jaejoong realized what he was doing.

“Yah! What the fuck is this?” he asked as he took out the thong. “Why are you dumping this in my basket? Get your own!”

“But honey,” Yunho cooed, attracting attention from more than one customer, “I want you to wear it,” he smiled sweetly.

Jaejoong turned bright red as he saw how many people where whispering and pointing at them not so subtly. “Fine, I get the hint,” he snapped as he stuffed the thong, fishnets and slip back into Yunho’s arms and grabbed four other pairs of the same boxers he’d picked before, “let’s just pay this and then we can go.”

Yunho tried his best not to dance in victory as they made their way to the counter.
