Whatever they say, no, you're not being too hard. (Unless you have a whip in your hands right now.) Perseverance and hard work are the only way to success. The human body adjusts and adapts quickly to the worst trainings and loosening only makes you lose this ability to endure. Captain to captain advice: Whip them all the way. They'll be set once the season comes.
I honestly don't think I'm being that hard on them. I'm just pushing them to be the best they can be. I know they reach their fullest potential with a bit of hard work and tough love.
And sadly I left my whip at home so I can't whip them, but thanks for the advice.
That's what I've been telling them. Cheer camp usually just consists of morning jogs, early mornings, late nights, practice, stunts, and weight training.

Alternate between a heating pad and ice. Then you should be good.
