so it turns out that i don't have to work at best buy today! this is the first day off i've had in awhile. now i have about 8 hours of free time and i'm left in confusion: (what?? free... time?? explain!) it's strange how we're always so busy that when we have nothing to do we don't know what to do because we're so conditioned to always doing

Yeah, I know how it feels to not know how to use free time. Which is why I watch TV, but hopefully you can come up with something better.

it turned out to be a good, productive day! i got my hair done, had an excellent chai/egg nog (with nutmegg) drink, listened to pretty music, meditated, and got lots of writing done!

i don't have a tv and it's a good thing, otherwise that's all i'd ever do!!! i'm a sucker for soaps!!

Ahhh, I wondered what happened to you! I almost sent an email out to make sure you were still alive, but something inside told me you were probably busy....like the rest of us! :) It's been crazy around these parts too. Wouldn't it be awesome if we had like a whole month's worth of vacation (paid)?
As for what to do...yeah, I get like that too! But I'm so stressed out that I've determined on days I have off, I'm not doing a damn thing. Nothing. Sleeping, staring at walls, petting the cat, drinking hot chocolate, watching Scooby Doo... that's the extent of what I want to do! It's a good time to let your body just slow down and breathe. :)

oooo, eerily prophetic - that's exactly what i've been doing! it's been really nice. just to be!

i've missed you too bill! hmmm, in some ways my thoughts have gotten deeper, in other ways they may have gotten lazy. i'm coming to view Christ more as a universal embodiment of truth, love, and beauty present in all things and visible to all who genuinely seek truth, love, and beauty. it's interesting how much more enriching the bible has become (and how it makes more sense) when reading it with an "open mind" and without fear. i try not to seek things that i desire, understanding that the more i desire things the farther away i get.. but instead try to follow Christ first. i'm still learning and it's not easy, but was it ever, or even supposed to be? :)

what i probably need to work on right now is connecting with other people more.

and thank you for your prayers. i know that they've helped. i love you.
