Thanks. The tape was actually the whole idea for it. I was doodling things on my notes for a class with people wrapped in tape so that they had like, disconnected bits of their arms and legs as a result and it reminded me of her tape-outfit in Telephone so. =|a
Pretty much the entire inspiration was playing with negative space as part of the foreground, idk how it became more than that but it did somehow.
A nap sounds so good. I haven't been awake long enough to need to sleep just like, the idea of getting to sleep when I'm tired, not because I'm crashing. It would be nice. ._.
I haven't seen the video, but having the background act as the tape while manipulating the words really brings something interesting to the picture. I was actually wondering if you'd come up with the entire outfit yourself or simply did your interpretation of it.

The reason I finished the girl designs before the boy designs is I can just draw fabric going everywhere and call it a day. It's so much fun. The boys actually have to like, have smartly-cut coats and vests and things and it is dragging me down. And then I reciprocate by giving the hero silly mismatching ladies' gloves and have to waffle over whether or not I want to finish it with him looking like a final fantasy reject.
Your OCs are gorgeeeeeous. Ugh. The jodhpurs/breeches+boot/spat/whatever-is-happening-there combo, the hat... dang, girl, just get over here and teach me how to design.

God my designs are not that amazing. I'm still trying to figure out basic ideas like "did you know you can give your characters different textures of hair!" and "hey silhouettes should be distinct." But I did start drawing because I wanted to draw OCs in totally fucking ridiculous clothes so it's probably what I have the most practice in.
Then you and Mo need to figure out how to send popstars creepy mostly-naked paintings of themselves because I am not googling that.

Put on latex gloves, print image and address labels, add to envelope, use tap water and small pipette to seal? 8)
