I think Egon Schiele is pretty awesome.

Ryan took me out to dinner at Martick's last night. I had wanted to go there for my birthday dinner, but it was closed on sunday and so last night he surprised me and took me there with the money he had gotten from selling back his textbooks! it is my birthday!
i am 21 years old!
ryan and i are going to go to annapolis for the day!
i am wearing my pretty new skirt that i got from the gap with birthday money!
fantastic!

this summer i want to:

• read the fairie queene, tess of the d'urbervilles, and something by nabokov which gillian will have to help me choose
• learn some german
• write at least three stories
• read something in spanish to reassure myself that i do actually know some spanish and can understand it
• make a lot of money

ryan and i went to mcdonalds today for breakfast. very un-pc, i know, but i have to admit that i am absolutely crazy about mcdonalds' breakfast food. we ate one sausage biscuit and two homefries each, and i had a cup of surprisingly good coffee. it was a very excellent way to start the day.

Kill Bill has been on the goucher cable channel over and over again for the past two weeks. i keep doing everything in my power to turn the tv on at the right time so that i can watch the scene where elle driver comes into the hospital, whistling. i can't get enough of it. it gets me every time. that and the japanese surfer band playing while uma ( Read more... )
